- Cabinets, Front cap -

I think we are nearing the end of our updates. I'm not sure if we will do anything significant after this update. We received our cabinet doors and drawer faces. We spent a whole day staining them. Then we applied the polyurethane to about half, and then hung them. This past weekend, we applied the polyurethane to about half of what we had left, and hung those. All we have left are the drawer faces. I need to carve finger cutouts for the faces of the closet dresser drawers, to pull the drawers open, which will be recessed.... and Art needs to make the drawer guts to attach the faces to... so between the two of us, and the upcoming holidays... we have time before the drawer faces need to be finished!

This is the front cap, with the new cabinet doors, and the shelf face. See my kookaburra bird? Mom brought that back from Australia for us. It fits because 1) its tropical, as it comes from the rainforest; and 2) the kookaburra bird has a happy life, sitting in the old gum tree, eating all the gum drops he can see!!!

Happy Birthday Artie Bear!
