- Entryway stairs (Cobblestone flooring) -

This was a very fun project.... long project, but fun nonetheless! After making the big stones (which is a lot like making hamburger patties), and setting them into place, I had to wait a week for them to dry. Once dry, I then sanded them smooth, and sponged on a little contrasting paint. Rinne (my sister) came over we worked together to set each pebble individually into the grout, which is also paper mache. After another week to dry, and another week to add 3 coats of polyurethane, we were then able to put on the trim.

We sat back just outside the bus, facing the entryway and admired our work for a little bit before it was time to take the bus back to storage. When we got up to ready the bus for storage, and tried to close the door, guess what.... it *wouldn't* close! UGH!! Art took a rubber mallet to the two pieces of trim on the bottom step to flatten it a bit. We had to reglue and add new screws. Because it takes a while for the glue to dry, we won't know if the that did the trick until we pick it up from storage. That will be next weekend. :( lol Oh well, I'm sure we're still full of idea's if we need them!

Be sure to check out the ULTRA SUMMARY for an up to date overall look of the inside of our bus!

See you real soon!
