- Air brake compressor, Shower door installation, Shower plumbing, Toilet plumbing, Radio/GPS installation, Bedroom TV installation -
We were planning to go to the bus conversion rally in Arizona, but that was canceled! We were so disappointed! We're still going to take SunChaser on a run to visit our friends Tom and Sue.... as our reward for all our hard work so far! We know we'll enjoy our visit with Tom and Sue, and we're anxious to see how eventful or uneventful the actual drive will be.
On to the latest update... Look who's back, and ready to get his hands dirty again.... well, sort of! LOL Louis is a great help, and so willing to keep coming back for more! Here they have the air brake compressor, and stripping it down to the core, ready to pick up the new rebuilt compressor. Art also ordered a compressor drive gear that just came in today. Looks like he'll have plenty to keep him busy this coming weekend!

More plumbing work this weekend. They ran lines from the manifold to the shower and the toilet. So far no leaks! Hoo-ray! We were able to test the toilet and see that it works, even though we still need to install the water pump. We may get that done before our firt trip in a couple weeks, but we won't have the hot water heater in by then. Good thing Tom and Sue like us enough to let us use their shower!
I used the caulking that comes in a roll for the first time. I love it! It looks much better than I could have done if I had squeezed it on. Now we just need to see if it holds water when it dries!

The radio was a must have for the trip. The little boom box went to full static just walking around in the bus... leaving it on while we drive could be dangerous to our health if it drives the driver up the wall! hahaha

Another important feature... the TV. Yes, we are hooked on falling asleep to the voice of Jay Leno, or GAC, the country music channel! Now we only need to get the tracvision working, and we'll be set. Even if we don't... I have DVD's with country music video's recorded on them, ready to sing us a lullaby!
To install the TV, we had to first give extra support to the wall the TV would hang on. To put that support up, we had to first put the wire panel cover up. There seems to be a lot of that in this bus project!
