Project Eagle

- Roof-airs; Skylight; Furring strips; Drop ceiling frame -

Ok, we're rolling again on bus work. We got home from camping, washed the boat, put it away, and picked up the bus practically the next day. We actually took a break so we could celebrate National Night Out with our friends and neighbors. McGruff and all that good pot-luck food, what more could a neighborhood block party need?

The roof air project went much easier than we ever thought it would. The weigh about 100 pounds each. You can see from the pictures that we had quite the ladder set up. One ladder to run the unit up, one ladder on each side of that, to give our hoisters height, and one more ladder so Art could move from the pushing position at the bottom of the ladder, to the pulling position from the top of the bus. Daniel held the safety rope on the other side of the bus.

We also installed the bathroom skylight that same weekend.

Here is a look at our bus from the outside with the roof ornaments.

This past weekend we've been working on the furring strips. Art came up with an idea for a drop ceiling with accent lights, so figuring out just what we are doing there was a bit of brain work today.
