Window Delivery / More fiberglassing rivets

Art continued his fiberglassing the rivets and seams. It appears the kemlite didn't get a good seal when we put it up. Even though he painted all the rivets and seams with the rubber paint, it still leaked. Apparently the rubber paint isn't waterproof ... as he peeled it off, moisture was found underneath. The method to his madness (insanity caused by the leaks) now is to remove the rivets (one section at a time). If it is an area that will be covered by a window, he prepares the rivet hole to insetting. Before replacing the rivets, he creates a small 1/4" ledge with masking tape just below the seam at the top of the kemlite. He mixes a batch of fiberglass. Using a needleless syringe, he is squirting the fiberglass into the seam, and makes sure it fills the masking tape ledge. He squirts sikaflex into the rivet hole, and dips the end of the rivet into the sikaflex, then rivets it in place. He then removes the masking tape, and sands the fiberglass even with the rest of the skin.
