Art taught me how to weld! He set up a couple metal pieces to weld together, showed me what to do, and then let me try. I was pretty nervous at first, but it wasn't so scary after a couple minutes. I'll need more practice before it looks pretty, but I did ok and was able to add a weld to an actual bus part! We fixed the engine hatch cover by welding a locking rod. Art got filthy under the bus, playing with the suspension. He lowered the front of the bus a couple inches to make it more level with the back of the bus. No matter how involved the work gets on this bus, there is always room for playing - as Larry is demonstrating here.
